Also called "Walking Onions", this 1800's heirloom was first introduced to American gardens from Canada. In addition to the bulbs that are produced underground, these also produce clusters of marble-sized, purple-skinned, pungent bulbs, "top-set" above the ground on straight, green, 3 ft. stalks. Hardy perennial. 30 sets plant about 20 ft. Bulbs typically ship in the fall. However, some bulbs may be available to ship in the spring--while supplies last.
