Old Russian apple is spritely tart, superb for pies and sauce. This wonderful old-time variety was brought to this country from Russia more than 150 years ago. It is extremely hardy and resistant to apple scab, cedar-apple-rust and fire blight. Medium size fruit's skin color is pale yellow with crimson stripes and splashes.
