An old Russian heirloom that is sprightly tart and superb for pies and sauces. This wonderful old-time variety was brought to this country from Russia more than 150 years ago. Medium size fruits have pale yellow skin with crimson stripes and splashes. Ripens mid-August to early September. It is ex- tremely hardy and resistant to Apple Scab, Cedar-Apple Rust and Fire Blight. 3 to 5 ft. bare root trees. Cross-pollination required – we suggest RubyMac®. Zones 3-7.
