Hardy trees produce delicious nut meats. Nuts have thin shells for easy cracking. Originating in Poland, nuts equal English walnuts in ease of shelling, but the flavor is richer and nuttier. Begins bearing in about 5 years. Self-pollinating, but crops are even larger when two are planted. This also makes a handsome shade tree. Zones 5-8. 1 to 2 ft. bare root seedlings.
