(Prunus tomentosa) Tasty, bright red fruits are great fresh, right off the bush. They also make excellent jams and jellies. This very attractive ornamental blooms in early spring with a mass of white flowers, followed by a fine crop of cherries. Excellent for wildlife and bird habitat. Easy-to-grow, resists drought and widely adaptable. Plants will eventually grow to about 8 to 10 ft. tall and 10 to 15 ft. wide.
