This blend includes a mix of native wildflowers, garden flowers, and milkweeds which supply nectar sources for adult monarchs. Milkweeds are utilized for egg-laying and provide food to monarch caterpillars. This mix is best suited for Zones 3-6 as some of the seed varieties require cold stratification to break their dormancy and encourage germination. For fall seeding, plant in October or November after a couple of hard freezes and the soil temperature is below 50°F. Plant 8 ounces per 1,000 square feet; for 1 acre plant 12 to 24 pounds. Approximately 212,000 seeds per pound.
