Not only will this variety ripen in some of the coolest areas, it is hands down, one of the best tasting melons you can grow. A favorite of many gardeners across the U.S., developed by Glenn Drowns in the 1970's when he lived in northern Idaho where the summer night temperatures average 43 degrees. A consistant high quality producer of 10 to 12 inch, dark green fruits with sweet, candy-like red flesh. A real summertime treat.

SEEDY Melons
Oct 16, 2024  |  By Jeffrey B Ridgley
I grew these melons in 2024 and they produced pretty well , but the problem was that when you cut into them they were 80% seeds and 20% melon. So I will never plant this variety again!!!
