Comparison of American Dream to Honey N' Pearl (both AAS selections from the same breeder)
Feb 1, 2024  |  By Michael Carter
Planted 2 AAS Supersweet corns in side-by-side rows within 1 hour of each other on the same day the first week of June. Soil temperature was Greater than 60 degrees F. The Super Sweet corns were "American Dream" and "Honey N' Pearl". "American Dream" had great flavor, good tip fill and germination was excellent. The one drawback was the high incidence of 1/2 sized ears when compared to the other Supersweet corns I grew. "Honey and Pearl" - Is still my go to corn after 25+ years.
Happy Gardening
Mike
Note: "Honey and Pearl" and "American Dream" breeder was "Illinois Foundation Seeds Inc.
