A gorgeous old-time, 1942 AAS Winner is a classic summer favorite. Deep green, almost black cylindrical fruits are 8 to 12 inches long, slender, smooth, and slightly curved. The delicious flesh is creamy white and very tender. Blossoms are also edible. Freezes well. Vigorous, bush-type plants are very productive.
