Also known as Golden Neckless. The finest of all golden purple-top rutabagas, being the hardiest, heaviest, best shaped and most productive. Grow either in early spring or late fall. Usually harvested in late summer or fall and stored for the winter. The root is 4-5 inches in diameter, with a beautiful yellow-colored flesh and a reddish-purple top. Flesh is of the highest quality, full of nourishment. Excellent mashed or baked. Also a nutritious stock food.
