In trials, this winner scored high in all areas, including maturity, yield, fruit size and uniformity, taste, texture and exhibited better disease resistance than comparable varieties. Beautiful grey-blue, flattened pumpkins, weighing up to 10 lbs., have non-stringy, deep orange flesh that's full of savory sweetness. Of all the pumpkins trialed, it was the first to flower and fruit which is important for gardeners with a shorter growing season. Excellent baked or roasted. Great for fall decorating, too.
