Yes, this is the original strain from the Alfreys! We reintroduced this ornery old heirloom many years ago and the demand for it has remained high. Grown as much to shock the prudish as for its culinary value. Hot, spicy pods are 4 to 6 in. long, have blunt-ends, mature to a deep red and have a Scoville rating of 10,000 to 23,000 units. Excellent for chili powder. Plants grow up to 20 to 30 in. tall. 90 days.
