An old-time southern favorite. Plants profusely bear loads of unusually long, 6 to 7 in., green pods that are easy to shell. When peas are first shelled, they are an attractive deep purple color which turns black when dried and they have an excellent flavor and texture. Drought resistant with great performance even in the summer heat. 63-70 days.
