A Southern favorite. More like a bean than a pea. Use green in the summer, and dried in the winter. Pleasant pea-like taste and buttery texture. Needs warm days and nights to develop. Special sweet flavor. Characteristic black eyes. Produces 6 to 7-inch pods that grow straight and are well-filled with large, smooth-skinned peas that have characteristic black eyes. Resistant to Common Wilt, Nematodes, and other diseases. (55 to 65 Days)
We will be substituting California Blackeye #5 Cowpeas for this item.
