An extremely rare, old heirloom variety dating back to 1845. Features blood-red kernels, streaked with darker red. A dent type, with tall, 8 to 12 ft. stalks producing 2 to 3 large ears – fine-flavored and excellent for cornmeal or corn-on-the-cob in the milk stage. Expect an occasional white ear. 100 days.
