A highly attractive, open pollinated variety bred for home gardeners. Dark purple roots can be eaten fresh, juiced, roasted, steamed or used for dyes. One of the darkest carrots available from the skin all the way to the core. Retains its color after cooking. Left in the garden, attractive white umbels appear and are tinged with lavender on the edges and flower stem.
