A European favorite, and you'll see why when you grow it. This is a very heavy yielder, has good orange color, nice flavor, and strong tops for easy harvest/pulling. But here's the real kicker - this carrot is big and heavy. That's why it yields so much. Roots average 8-9 inches long by over two inches in diameter at the shoulder. That's as big as an ear of sweet corn. Now that's a carrot! Tolerant to leaf blight.

flakee carrots

I planted flakee last year (2023). Best production I've ever had from any carrot variety. Also, no malformed roots like I have frequently experienced in the past.
