Southwestern or Western U.S. indigenous bean. Stories say the seeds were found sealed inside a clay pot in a cave in NM, and that carbon dating showed them to be 1500 years old. Attractive beans are white and red mottled, and the size and shape of a large kidney bean. Green pods can be used fresh when small though usually used as a dry bean. Plants have a pole habit, climbing up to 10 ft.
