Collard plants are cold tolerant and persistent plants that can be easily grown for spring/summer crops and for fall harvest.
Plant thinly 1/4 in. deep in rows 2 ft. apart. After emergence, thin seedlings to 6 inches apart. Harvest only outside leaves. Light frosts usually improve flavor.
